Client: Ermenegildo Zegna Holditalia SpA Year: 2007 Total area: 1.800 sq m The new cultural meeting centre was set up inside the area occupied by the Ermenegildo Zegna wool factory, and it involved the renovation and integration of two buildings: a residential building from the 1930s and another building designed by Pietro Porcinai in the 1960s, destined to become a greenhouse/winter garden. A series of exposition areas and a cafeteria were created in the greenhouse. The residential building was transformed into a comprehensive archives centre aimed at storing documents, photographs, technical drawings, sample collections and objects generated in 100 years of industrial activity.
